Sometime in mid- March 2011, I stumbled upon a website by a woman named Angie Dudley, a/k/a Bakerella. She makes incredible edible creations on a stick, and she calls them cake pops.
They were all so cute, and she had dozens and dozens of projects on her blog. I had to try it out for myself. It looked so easy!
Before I knew it, I was at my local Joann Fabric and Craft store buying up everything I could to make cake pops. Lollipop sticks, check. Cookie bags and twisties, check. Candy coating - bags and bags of all different colors (and it was on sale, yay!), check.
I got home, put my kids down for their naps, and decided to plunge into my first batch of cake pops. I thought it would be fun to take photos of my journey along the way. This blog will take you through the lows and highs of my experiences with cake pops. I will share many of the things that I have learned that helped to make me a better “Popper”. Hopefully, I will inspire you as Bakerella has for me!
